Whats the "best, under $30" products to kill weeds and bugs but yet safe for our pumpkins? I've heard Seven works for bugs, but not completely sure. Any ideas?

For under 30 you can get a stirrup hoe, hands down a necessary tool, and bugs....there are so many different products, I would get a systemic and a contact spray, you will need a fungicide too.

Ditto Tom 100%. But under $30 for all these tasks is not realistic. Under $100 is probably doable.
$12-14 for 5 round-up dry packs. Each makes a gallon, for a full season. $40 for a cheap pump sprayer. Neutralize it with 20% bleach after round up. Spray only with very low pressure and NO wind. Stirrup hoe is probably $45-50. Do a search here for SEVIN to see why most growers prefer more advanced insecticides. You can control Powdery Mildew with a 20-40% low fat milk spray 1-2 times per week.
In a hobby where some seeds now sell at auction for over $500 a hundred bucks is realistic for a season of fun with often free seeds.
Grow well!

Its free! Pull with your hands the weeds and pinch with you're fingers the bugs.

P.S. Just read your diary. First, forget the bucket method, the roots do their job just fine. Second, if you really want a 300 lber I'd recommend getting hold of some Atlantic Giant pumpkin seeds ASAP. I can send you some from a 352 lber I grew last year if you want. Just email me your address. [email protected]. If not there are plenty of other people on here willing to send you some seeds too.
P.P.S. Mr. Obvious Show. :)
