I just discovered that a side vine from the stump was broken clean off. Its unable to be pruned since it broke at the stump area. Anyone know any thing i can do to compensate for this loss. Oh the joys and trials of June. When the vine are growing. Ugh!

Relax man everything's gonna be okizzay. A broken vine or 2...or 3 won't hold you back from 1500++. Trust me.

A lot of growers cut the first few side-vines off anyways.

Had the side vine rooted at a few of the leaf nodes yet ? (figure since you say you just noticed it and assuming the leaves dying weren't what made you find it!)-- If so and you have some extra space to grow in you could move it to another spot and see if you can keep it growing as a clone and see what kind of size you can get on it.

I probably could clone it but i have just enough time to keep the rest of the plants health.

Kenny...If you really want to fill that area...let the tertiaries grow off the next side vine and grow them into that spot
