I have read several articles that talk about burying the ends to have them root. I wonder how hard it would be to start a second plant from the clones? ....Has anyone done this during the growing season? More on clones http://www.pumpkinnook.com/howto/clone2.htm

Ask John Van Hook, he had a 1450 Wallace he kept going for 3 or 4 years.

last year i tried an experiment. i cut off a sidevine put some rootone on it and put back in the patch. it was about 3 feet long. it didn't do anything for awhile, guess it was in shock, then it grew another 2 feet before cold weather set in. it did ok for a month and half or so.

Not that hard. We used window boxes. For terrific details see Matt DeBacco's amazing project at Team Pumpkin.
