I bought a gopher & mole chaser from home depot ,It takes batterys & makes a beeping noise every 28 seconds , & you push it into ground , On the instructions it says it might attract them at first then they will move in a week of 2 , My question- has anyone had any good results with one ? Yes i do trap them & i have good luck but id like to keep them away if possable!

i would say that they did help some compared to the year before. but still had gophers. not too sure about garlic barrier since i grew garlic one year and gogher ate it. heard from master gardener that human male urine works if you put it in there hole. didn't have any luck with the traps you set above the tunnels either. i will also try the old trap that you put into the main tunnel with a carrot inbetween. nieghbor caught 5 with'em last year.

used it, still had gopher problems. I was in an area full of gophers. No matter what I did, they still came in the patch. Gophers just plain suck! :)

The only things I've found to work. (My apologies to those who love rodents...)
1. Drown them. Run a hose into their burrow and let it run a long time. I have irrigation water through the hose, so I can let it run a LONG time.
2. Take the muffler off your mower or tiller, and get some cast iron pipe such that you can pipe the exhaust directly into the burrow. Set it up so that the gas cannot easily escape. Run it for 20 to 30 minutes.
3. Use this! http://www.rodenator.com/ Be sure to watch the videos! A true Idaho product.
Everything else is a waste of money.

forgot to mention drowning them. got about 6 last year that way. when they come up for air i shoot em with the pellet gun. i think that rodenator would be a good thing but i think its a little spendy.
