Just a passing curiosity, but I notice that every spring there is an absence of patch pics from the heavy hitters that in the late fall and off months ask us to support their various clubs. As a multi club member I would appreciate it if you guys lurking in the background would post some pictures of your current early season patches/plants so I can learn, grow and compare. Any other growers feel this way?

Don Young keeps a diary too. While I would love to see these pics as well, the last time I checked, keeping a diary, or even being a member of this site is not a prerequesite for being unofficially referred to as a heavy hitter though.

There are a lot of heavy hitters who maintain diaries on BP (or otherwise frequent the chatroom).

Sometimes there are more pictures in seasons past; if you use the 'grower diary' selection then toggle the YEAR back a few then search for your favorite BP HH handle, you will find a wealth of those sorts of things and lots more.
The diary is to put up what you the grower wants to share, or keep track of, from that season for the future. I know that I look back at my previous year one in like beginning of March and I've forgotten a bunch of what I did put up.
People share on here, Root, trust me, they do.
Usually too, if you're in the club you get the newsletter and you see lots of pics there...

Yea thanks gang, I have been posting on this site for what 10 years now... Just saying dont recall seeing alot of early season pics from the top 5 growers of most weighoffs. It would be nice to get "in season" updates from them to compare our progress to theirs. Not a big deal, I get the whole "whos got what" it is part of the allure of the sport I suppose.

" IT TAKES ALL KINDS OF CRITTERS TO MAKE FARMER VINCENTS FRITTERS "
SOME PREFER TO GROW IN PRIVATE ,SOME IN PUBLIC AND SOME WILL GET INVOLVED WHEN A SUBJECT INTERESTS THEM.SOME BARELY HAVE THE TIME TO TEND THERE PLANTS AND CANT GET TO INVOLVED ANSWERING QUESTIONS AND POSTING PICTURES?
IN MY EXPERIENCE WITH THESE SUCCESSFUL CHAMPION TYPE GROWERS I CAN ONLY SAY THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF THE ORANGE ANGELS FOUNDATION.
THESE GROWERS GENEROUSLY DONATE SEEDS TO THE OAF FOR RESALE IN PROMOTIONAL SEED PACKETS WHICH IN TURN GENERATES FUNDS FOR COATS FOR KIDS AND ALSO NEEDY FAMILIES.
THEY MAY NOT ALWAYS BE INVOLVED HERE ON BP BUT THEY CERTAINLKT GET INVOLVED HELPING THE NEEDY.
