Just thought that I would ask what are some of the Hobbies that some of you growers do besides grow Pumpkins. Thought it would be interesting to find out.
I Play the Bagpipes and I belong to a band that plays at many occasions. Weddings, Funerals and wakes, Parades and things like that.I love going to Highland Games and getting involved in the Highland Community.
I also like Salt Water fishing for Striped Bass, Working in the yard and spending time with my family. I wish I had the cash to buy a Farm and plant more then just Pumpkins but it's just not possible. I'm a big time New England Patriots Fan..Red Sox..I'm not really a Basketball fan but if I had to chose it would be an obviouse Choice..The Celtics. I like learning about different things and will soon be trying to learn about birds native to the New England area...

Hot-Rodder!! I build 50's-style traditional hot rods (NOT rat-rods!) and in my spare time I am an industrial maintenance tech for a window manufacturer. My 4 kids hate sports (thank goodness), oldest son in pre-med with a 4.0, second a junior in high school with a 4.0, top of her class for the last 4 years, and you might say a world traveler (she's been to 6 European countries and China), 3rd (and my little gardener/pumpkin grower) is 12 and a straight-A middle-schooler. Youngest is a heathen! lol! Nah, he's just a hellion for now but he's getting better everyday. Good grades but that alligator mouth overloads his jaybird ass a lot of the time...let's just say we are on first-name basis with some folks at the elementary school! :-)

Retired hubby (full time job), contract artist, make kaleidoscopes, waterlily-goldfish-koi (serious ponding), sewing, serious cooking, needlework, yarnaholic ... owned by two cats (the yardboys) and (his) dog... grow lots of stuff including geraniums, sempervivium, african violets, garlic, maters, weeds... Yardwork, maintaining stuff including vehicles, jigsaw puzzle addict. Napaholic!!!!!!!! hehehehehe Oh yeah, competition grower.

Work 6 days a week, 3 dogs 1 cat 11 chickens 2 mini donkeys and 4 acres with veggie garden and wifes flower garden. Any time left I like to fish.

Lets see- manufacture screen doors for nuclear subs...
underwater basket weaving... sell pay toilets for hospital diahreea wards( door to door)-teach 18 year olds with extreme senioritis this time of year( for real)- and look at my unkept yard because I spend time with the pumpkins and create (attempt) funny entries like this.Take care of my ill wife...( She is doing a bit better-Thank-you Lord!) and read all I can get my handds on.. love to read about alternative energy..

vegetable garden, hunting, fishing, Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers, Penguins.
And of course my beautiful wife.
So I keep busy.

Work work and then I work. I'm a Vikings fan, now hold on to your computer, you'll probably here a loud rumble, thats other football teams geting up and running for there lifes thinking the MN Vikings are comming. I have kids, anything they want is what I will be doing. Exercise, eating (I should just raise pigs, I eat like one, which is kind of a hobby)I'm in the Army. Learning and learning on what it takes to grow a giant pumpkin,,,,all I want is the worlds biggest,,looks like theres some competition.

I'm a retired diesel machanic instructor, I'm an avid gardener who enjoys growing giant pumpkins, dailias and now am trying my hand at gourds. I also am a proud grandfather of two children Lexie, 10 and Brendan, 7. I keep busy attending soccer and baseball games as well as violin and dance performances. I'm also a retired fisherman. For over 30+ years I enjojyed catching stripers, bluefish and Cod. I still enjoy getting out on the ocean when I can. Unfortunately, dialysis keeps me close to home these days.

Im a housewife with a 16 yr old and a 13 yr old who are my number 1 priority :) We spend a lot of time camping, riding waverunners and tubing. In the fall Im the Halloween Queen lol I throw a couple halloween parties and do party planning for others. Last yr I did 6 Halloween parties. I also have a haunted house for all the neighborhood kids. I enjoy building props for the haunt. Its not unusual to find skeletons, aliens, witches or head hunters standing in my kitchen between Aug. and Oct.

I grow tomatoes, peppers, and other fruits and veggies. I tend to my 10 acre tree farm: pruning, thinning, cutting firewood. I try to keep the deer population in check and keep the fish from taking over the local streams and lakes.

ok i had to have a little fun. i don't steal and i don't lie. i don't like liars and thieves!!! i do work in a particleboard plant. i enjoy gold mining and diving, fishing. not much on hunting but i will shoot gophers in the patch or anything that try's to hurt my critters(chickens,cats,dogs,turkeys,pumpkins,etc.) these are my family. i like to read,watch movies and work in the pumpkin patch and watch football and watching the drag races.

i am a massage therapist by training and by choice. I processed wild game and worked in a slaughter house for about 18 years(2 different jobs). Cleaned many a hotel room and condos galore. was a water master for a ditch company, among other things too!!!Love to be outdoors, enjoy hunting, fishing, baseball, playing in the dirt, water sports, crocheting, and MY FAMILY.....6 kids (3 of mine,3 of his), 14 grand kids(6 of mine, 8 of his) 4 sisters,(1 of mine,3 of his) 2 brothers,(1 each) etc..etc..etc.. had many occupations in my life and have worked hard to make ends meet. Glad to have a good man beside me and standing with me thru it all. and not necessarily in that order. Hows that? Life is good!?!?!!!!!
