I remember a post recently that questioned if the BP.com diary entries should be previewed for appropriateness. I don't know what Steve rejected, but I for one appreciate the work all the diary screeners do.

Maybe there should be common rules what kind of pics are ok and which ones not. Now it seems that sometimes pics gets deleted, sometimes they get thru to diaries. Similar pics. Just make fair, simple rules that are same for everyone and that everyone understands.

I understand humor and all but people should be reminded that this is a family websight. We sometimes get carried away with humor.

Hottis, there is a link to submission guidelines on the page that you submit entries from. It's generic, but it's there.

But seriously people, this is a pumpkin growing website. New people come here to find out how to grow pumpkins, not to see sexy woman and pictures of road signs and monkeys. Try to keep the majority of your posts relevant to pumpkin growing. It's not that hard to do.

Examples: if a teenage boy would enjoy looking at it privately, it's probably not ok. If it would be in the SI swimsuit edition, it's probably not ok. If it'd be on the cover of a package of underwear, it's probably not ok. If a middle finger is sticking up, it's not ok. If a butt is being shown, it's not ok. If an adult toy is in the picture, it's not ok. If it's a dead animal and excessive guts and blood are visible, it's not ok.

Those are all examples of pictures that I've seen submitted here. 99% of the pictures submitted are totally fine, just use some basic judgement.

I'm finished with it. The image was inappropriate for this website. Many of us male growers are friends and we often swap similar images. But they don't belong here.

I respectfully told the grower that if my son smiled or my minister or Mom frowned, then the reject button get's clicked.

These are the accepted values this community has settled on.

Hey; it's much better than TV or You-Tube.

Ultimately it is Ken's website and he decides the content. It is great that he has help with screeners assisting him and for that we all appreciate your work.

But back in the day.....Brig...this was OK with you.

What... "an adult toy" is not ok. Does that mean no more pictures of my tractor?

The rules are not what changes. The submission guidelines state "sexually explicit" material will not be tolerated. It is the interpretation of this guideline that can vary from screener to screener. Unforunately, that is human nature. Having a team of photo screeners helps get photos onto to the site faster and safer. If anyone feels a photo "made it through" to a diary that should not have then they should email a link directly to that post to me and I'll decide if it needs to come down. Thanks.

As someone who has never recovered from an experience like that in my youth (Niagara 2009--Eddy and his orange jumper), I whole-heartedly support the censoring of non-family oriented pictures.
