alright, now that I have asked about merit, are there any "organic systemic insecticides" that can be soil drenched with decent results? I don't deal with cucumber beetles, squash borers, etc mainly the small stuff, spider mites, white fly, etc etc here in san diego. The little guys! Any products out there anyone has used? I know neem oil can be drenched, what else is out there? Thanks, Jim

Jim, neem oil is the best organic method ive found, especially for spider mites and aphids,, Use it as a foliar spray and a drench and you should have decent results,,

There are no organic systemic anythings. Only contacts.

I've tried neem as a spray before, even the weakest solution burns my leaves here in san diego. Though Iwonder if it would burn the leaves under shade cloth. Not sure on that one.

Try a 1% of superior summer oil.

Thar or go synthetic. There is good reasoning behind their development.

Duster,
You may want to look into Garlic Barrier(I spray it on the plant). I don't know what all insects it can deter.

GARLIC & the much stronger MOSQUITO Barriers do a great job repelling Cucumber Beetles.

Try spraying the neem in the evening.
You avoid the sun.
Last year I was spraying in the evening, I think some of the moisture we had at night helped spread it, along with whatever else I mixed with it.
Despite all the rain we had I didn't have any PM or fungus problems.
I used the neem as an emulsifier, with my CT and fish/seaweed sprays.
Maybe just got lucky.
Am I killing all the little guys in my C.Tea??
