I've two different rolls of plastic. They are both 4 mil. One is very clear, and the other is somewhat cloudy. Is one preferred over the other? Or won't it make much difference?

Good question I think that a clearer plastic would make a little warmer. just a thought.

Doesn't matter. Consider the OHIO VALLEY HOOCH. It is covered with row cover cloth. Much better than plastic.

i used both the clear and cloudy plastic three years ago. the clear plastic was about 15 degrees warmer than the cloudy one.

if i had a choice id probably go with the clear. keeping in mind that inside that greenhouse will get hotter, you would need to be more carefull on the really hot days. venting earlier and closing a bit later depending on the weather.

My plants are under plastic until the first week of June,,side by side comparison has proven the clearer the better without a doubt. This ain't the Ohio Valley unfortunately.

Think of the amount of light transmission,,or growing under "overcast" conditions with the cloudy construction grade plastic.

Thanks for the info.
I've got two hoops out in the patch with the clearer plastic. The remaining hoops should go out in the next two days.. I think I'll stick with the clearer stuff, especially with this cooler weather we have now.
I'll heed your advice pap, as I don't want to fry my plants.
