Sure having a run of terribly slow mail delivery, A month from South Dakota to Conn. and some still haven't arived yet The ones that have arrived have tire tracks boot marks one was even opened. Had 4 bubbles to Europe returned because the bubbles were ripped up, seeds still in them, but that's about all that was left. Next year, have to start earlier
Glad my bubble to the Tode made it right Biz

Likewise, Eddy. You'll enjoy this- Following our auction in Mid-Feb I went to mail a package to Germany that contained $750 worth of seeds. I asked for this package to be insured and the clerk told me they were pumpkin seeds, there's no way there's $750 in value here. I was told I could not insure the package for that amount. We went back and forth for minutes on the issue. Finally, proof of reciept of the sale convinced him there was value there. Sooooo.....the package left the US as "Registered" mail, for an extra $17.00 out of the SCGA pocket. It gave me only ***this much*** assurance the package would actually arrive safely and on time. Fast-forward to the end of April, our friends in Germany still have not received their package. As a result, I need to take another hour out of my day to chase down the incompetency of the postal service. Lo and behold, my frankfurt-bound package took a side trip to Tokyo, where it must have engaged in some oriental fun for the last month and a half. The postal clerk "assured" me that the package was now properly en route. I still have no guarantee of its arrival. I'll need to spend another hour in a week or two to follow up when/if it still hasnt arrived. and if that's the case, pursue a lost package/insurance reimbursement claim filing. I guess I understand better now why companies place seemingly high S&H charges on their goods.........

Ben Boynton sent me seeds one time and I was put on an Australian "Wanted List" as someone who would be suspect...Yikes! you never know what they're talking about...also went to Niagara with seeds under my dashboard so I didn't get caught without "my Papers"...I've been trying to stop those damn "Canadian night crawlers" ever since...Heaven forbid we start smuggling "Peat Moss"....LOL

Joze,Iceman, I been trying to exchange bubbles with a good friend of mine Rick Sanders from Germany for years,I get Ricks seeds ok from Germany, but he doesnt get my bubble,,lol,,
first time the bubble never got there, second time I sent the bubble it came back to me(I had the correct address),, so I re sent it again, and he never did received it, last year , same beat of the drum .

Its just a good thing we wasn't trading really good proven seeds is all I can say,,, but lose a few Bosworth seeds in the mail its not a big deal,,lol
Not Ricks fault or my fault, but what else can we do but just hope that they get there to each other.

Eddy, why you sending Tode seeds for?,,, you better stay out of this years competition,,lol

I sent 6 seed packs to Germany this year for our club, 5 got there no problem and one I had to send twice and the second time I sent it priority and it made it. Even in the states some packs get to destination in 4 days, others in 40 days. Go figure

Next time use Fedex. When was the last time a business used USPS to send you anything?

The noober the grower, the more they call, the slower the mail.

When using USPS - select Global Priority only.
UPS is still preferred due to track-ability.

You do realize once it leaves US it is in customs and other countrys postal systems. No longer in USPS hands. Like Tremor said use Global Priority . UPS and Fedx have there employees all over the world. USPS is United States Postal Service.

Glad I'm not alone, Joze that sucks, I know your frustration, If we did something like that at work, we'd have our butts in the ringer for sure,
also I wasn't just picking on the USPS service, It's all of them. I had a cheques sent to me from Edmonton, 150 miles away, took 43 days to find it, and it ended up being returned to the sender, The envelope was so beat up all you could read was the return address. I told them to hold the envelope rather than remail, lol

Tiller did my bubble get to you, haven't heard yet.

Eddy the envelope made it and I'm waiting for signs of life from the 1024 as I type this. In fact I'll go check right now.....OK, nothing yet. This is always one of the most anxious parts of the season when you're trying to get those older seeds to germinate.

Eddy, when you say it's all of them, it gets worse...I've even not received return emails ;)
