Surely there is a vermiculturist out there dying to breed these things. And what would be a more fitting habitat for these creatures than a giant pumpkins patch?

I have worms like that in the bottom of my compost pile, the largest one that I have found was around 12 inches. I wanted to put them in my worm farm but I read larger worms typically die when put into containers. They are really cool though!

Ha! I'm right where this is happening. Pretty cool story about something still around after being thought gone forever. Of course I would probably keep quiet about it if I ever found any. Wouldn't want my yard to be declared a 'worm preserve' or something!
