The first true leaf on the 672.5 stevens plant is curled up, very dark green and waxy looking. The cots look normal. Do I have a problem? Thanks.

dont worry about your cot leaves, , they will end up falling off in the next few weeks or so anyway once your plants starts running,, only thing I would worry about is the first and second true leaves, and alot of the time they grow out smaller then the rest of yours plants leaves will also.

But cot leaves, nothing to worry about as long as you can see that tiny first true leaf starting to grow.

One question though bcdf and cndadoc, alot of the times I have found this to be the case on alot of cot leaves that grow out all twisted looking alot of the time(which still might be the direct cause all the time of twisted cot leaves), but did you use Hydro peroxide when soaking your seeds?

CORRECTION*.. ''(which still might 'NOT' be the direct cause of most twisted cot leaves)''

I don't use H2O2 on my seeds.
My plants cot leaves are fine...it's the first true leaf that's knarled looking. As I mentioned, I've had this in the past but the plant outgrows it and does fine with no signs of a problem later. I wondered in the past if it was mosaic virus, but that doesn't explain why it only appears on the first leaf (or 2) and doesn't affect the overall plant health. I think I had it with the Hester 582 in the past...

What's your seed starting medium...is it always the same? Maybe try some different soil types or additives to avoid the problem...I've seen burnt cot edgess from over filing and to long exposure to peroxide but the true leaves are usually fine...check your starting medium...GrowEmBig! Chuck
