I was 8 for 8 with my test germinations this spring. I used a heating mat in my chamber with a small heater and a flourescent light above only about 1-2" abovce the plants. The temp stayed between 83-90 degrees. They all still got very leggy. I'm starting my chosen seeds Sunday the 25th.....any last minute suggestions so I can make sure they don't get as leggy as they have? Thanks and Good Luck to all!

Repot them up to the cots, then get'em into real sunlight ASAP.

Once the cots break ground, you should take them out of the elevated temps. I have found that this will help keep them stocky. Bottom heat tends to make the plat elongate. This is typical with most seedlings.

Get them outside just as soon as they break ground, even if the weather isn't that great. You can still bring them inside at night.

jeremy simply real sunlight and colder temps will keep them stocky and yes you should unplug heater if they are not ready to go in the dirt
