Well, lemme see...thanks to some really generous fellas on this forum, my 12-year old daughter has:
3 Pennington 1238's (1209 Kuhn x 1018 Van Hook) 2 Pennington 1094.5's (275 Van Hook x 1209 Kuhn) 1 Van Hook 498 (1385 Jutras x 1450 Wallace) 1 Van Hook 1145.5 (1161 Rodonis x 1450 Wallace) 1 Van Hook 1266.1 (275 Van Hook x 1450 Wallace) 1 Van Hook 1054.5 (1566 Rodonis x 1450 Wallace) 1 Van Hook 1018 (1450 Wallace x self) 10 AG's from Lowes (already in the field)
4 Schnicker 179.7 Carolina Cross (251 Mudd x 267 Edwards) 4 Schnicker 131 (267 Edwards x 251 Mudd) 45-50 hills of random CC, 60 or so hills Black Diamonds, 25 hills of Florida Giants, and about 10 Georgia Rattlesnakes for market. The market melons are already in the field too.
She also has several seeds germinating from a Moore 33 Cantaloupe (Schnicker 52) and abot 30 Hales Best (commercial seed)
All the Penningtons are up and have 1st true leaves after breaking the soil last Friday-Sunday. Growing like kudzu! The other "big-uns" were put in the incubating house Tuesday 13 and yesterday so I expect to see some break the soil beginning today or tomorrow.
Looking forward to a good year, and hopefully see her grow one worth the trip to Bear Wallow Farms this fall and meet the generous fellas that sent "giant" seeds her way! Thanks Wayne, Tim, and John!

Thanks to some very nice growers I have some great seeds to try this year. 1004 Mohr 2008 (772 Poirier x 1317.5 Rose) for growing in small lot (250-290 sq ft) like mine (240-250 sq ft). 722 Risi 08 (1239 Werner 07 x 1566 Rodonis 07) for size genetics 900 estimated Langevin (1689 Jutras 07 x 1502 Wallace 06) for WR pedigree 09 Gonsoulin Cross (406 Gonsoulin 08 x 1566 Rodonis) for heat tolerance
I only have room for one fruit growing plant and one pollinator in my backyard. Main fruiting plant will probably be 1004 Mohr. That is the plan. However it will depend on the plant growth and health in the next couple weeks. I'm trying a soaking and bag technique right now for germination and so far it isn't working as well as my usual stick it in the dirt and wait method. The plants are growing slow. I will probably plant a couple backup seeds in dirt with no prep tonight in case my current ones don't start kicking in.
