I got a few messages from him that are just URL's and by the titles also, look like he is being spoofed or his email account has been compromised. I advise if you get an email or emails from him with some title like 'this should do it for you' and the body is just an URL, to NOT click through.
Mikkal, isolate your computer and clean it, and take steps to resecure or close and get a new email account!

Currently being done, all passwords have been changed. Any other steps you guys know that help? I have never had this happen before. I did not even know about until Deb let me know, I have been working on a paper all morning, looks like it happened sometime about 9:23 or so.

Clean deep in your computer, if you visit sites that use third party adservers, and there is an ad-juggler (every so often refreshes the ads displayed) you can get hit with a former adware juggler application that now has rogue versions. I have turned to Superantispyware on Tom Privitera's advice last year, it gets stuff that Norton never sees and McAfee won't find on six passes. Good luck on getting it cleaned up.

The university usually sells cheap software for antivirus if that helps
