RootShield

Based on the highly-effective, patented hybrid fungus Trichoderma harzianum, strain T-22, RootShield protects roots from many pathogens including Pythium, Rhizoctionia, Fusarium, Thielaviopsis and Cylindrocladium. Within 24 hours RootShield blocks and actively attacks pathogens by “eating” them: ensuring uninterrupted plant growth.RootShield provides disease prevention for up to twelve weeks at which time a second application at 1/2 can be made. Drenching RootShield WP wettable powder into the soil protects roots for up to 12 weeks and costs less than 1¢ per 6-in RootShield is EPA registered and OMRI certified. can you expand more on your root shield and the effects it has on Mycorrhizae please? What studies has your company found, and what test have they done when using Mycorrhizae and root shield at the same time , in the same planting hole when planting a seedling?

This has been a question alot of us on here have had and alot dont understand totally.
But does root shield and Mycorrhizae have to be wet for the Trichoderma harzianum to feed off the Mycorrhizae??

And what about storing the two together at the same time(dry). what are the effects you will get?

Brooks- I posted this on the previous thread discussing microbes and mixing...I've copied it here so it doesnt get dropped off the front page...

...if there's one thing my college tuition paid for, its the fact that all life on earth needs water to thrive. Biological fact. No living entity on this planet can function without water. I challenge anyone to prove me wrong on this...I qualify my statement by stating my degree is in biotechnology with a plant physiology emphasis. Not bragging, just want to establish credibility.

No data or heresay necessary...this is a fundamental fact of biology. All life requires water. Fungus and bacteria are unique, when deprived of water, they go into a type of hibernation that allows them to survive dry/harsh conditions. ONLY when temperature and water are ideal will they pop back to life.

Not mixing species is a good preventative measure, though, especially for those that "cannibalize" others like Trichoderma. Atmospheric moisture (humidity) can condense when temps fluctuate, potentially making the environment moist enough to bring the bugs out of hibernation.

If kept dry, cool, and sealed, there's no risk of cannibalization.
