Had a very special, unexpected visitor here at the farm and Long Pond yesterday - may be back here in the Fall for a pumpkin shoot! Check out Grower's Diary under 'Howard'.

so who brought it there? is Andrew replacing Glen with the white gloves - and it is the travelling Stanley I'm assuming - too bad it was the Bruins able to escort it around the continent this year - and I don't think it's going to happen next year either
but they're talking expansion teams again I understand - maybe it's time for the Mariners from down-east Canada - I've always felt you guys deserved a hockey team

That is TOO COOL!! What a fitting place for the cup to visit! Should be a mandatory stop every year.

Yes, it was way too cool to have the World's most recognized trophy right here at our farm and Long Pond. I can't even imagine what dad's reaction would have been! Philip Pritchard - "The Keeper of the Cup" and Vice President of the Hockey Hall of Fame was the one who brought it - what an honour to meet and chat hockey with him. He's the one who carries the Stanley Cup out every year to the NHL champions. He did mention something about bringing it back in the Fall when the pumpkins are ready. Danny
