I deal with this every year. When planting AG seeds is it pointy end down or smooth. I think its smooth?

The root will come out of the pointed end of the seed. I personally start my seeds in a moist paper towel first so I know when they germinate. Then I plant them in a pot with the pointed end down. Some growers like to plant them flat for more root development, but I've never had luck with that.

Paper towel germ, then point end more down but on edge with the most split side down. When it comes out of the dirt then it's easier for me to assist with seed coat removal if I have to.
The point tells you which way the root will be going.
