Why dont new posts go to the top of this forum? When some one posts on a thread , should it not go to the top?

I've wondered that myself, Phil. It would be nice to have active threads repositioned towards the top.

Only someone used to other boards would dare to ask LOL. But O-yea I've also wondering to as it is a better method. All boards are somewhat diferent though. The threads here are totally static (don't change with activity) so a thread a page back could have activity and you would never know. My guess is it was probably easiest to code but could just be a matter of configuration? Also all posts go to the bottom and that is certainly common, but I've always though they should go the other way (new on top of old). And there is no spell chacker LOL.

Seriously, though - I like it the way it is. Realistically, there are never any threads that get knocked off the first page before the discussion is over, and with new posts tagged as such, you shouldn't miss much. It's a nice setup as is.

I agree w/ andy W...I am sorta old school...!! If the new one was at the top, I would prbly start reading that one first, and would have no clue what the topic was!!! LOL
The way it is now, I look and see how many post's I have not read, check the topic, and go read the unread one's!!!
SW, if post's are made on a page back you do know!!! If yer new posts says 2, and none are on the first page, then you know to go back a page!!! Peace, Wayne
