Even though it is warm now the end of March looks cold right before consistent warm weather arrives to the Midwest and Ohio valley. If you are planning on planting a pumpkin plant towards the end of the month for an August fair make sure you have something to keep the plants a little warmer than usual or wait until early April IMHO. I'm just saying if you think you will plant earlier for a fair this year you won't accomplish much if it is in the low 40s and cloudy after the next two weeks of mid-upper 50s and sun.

Nic, according to the almanac, which was right on the money for February here in Ohio, March is looking just as bad as far as cold weather and snow . I just hope its wrong for once,,lol
