We have now won the most GOLD MEDALS by hosting nation. Thank you Sydney Crosby.

Never mind host nation this in the entire history of the games. Best Olympics ever. I take my hat off to the US it was one heck of a game.

crosby has no class. In his interview he said "the game was a lot closer then they expected it to be". Give me a break. Don't you remember a week ago when you lost to USA. What a weak thing to say during an victory interview. Congradualtions to you Canadians.

jrgourd....I don't know what interview you thought you saw with Sidney Crosby but in the post game interview that I saw, he was very humble and nothing but complimentary towards the USA team and the game that they played.

Crosby is the man, furthermore every goal by the Canadians was a well placed shot, nothing cheap about the win my American friends. Great game I loved every minute, we lost. Lets have the Edmonton Eskimo's play the Saints so we can feel better again, lol. Hats off to The Canadian Hockey team.

Great Game....only I think it was a conspiracy, and the torch arm that did'nt raise at the opening ceremony had something to do with it..kidding, congratulations Canada.

I can finally post now that I've calmed down. I hate losing & was afraid to post earlier. Congrats!! the 3rd period belonged to the US, but when it went to 4 on 4 hockey on that larger international ice it was clear that Canada was going to win. You guys were out playing us big time 4 on 4 & I was just hoping Miller could get us to a shoot-out but it didn't happen. Good game guys. ...Paul

Shouldn't there be another game?
US beat Canada first game.
Canada barely beats US second game.
My book that is a tie.

Wait....first of all cudos to Canada for a game well played! They were both excellent games....but...tie breaker for the games should be who scored the most goals total head on head....LoL.....great fun!

the advantage to being undefeated in the games prior to the quarter-finals was the "bye" that was received directly into the semi-finals

Vertigo, please. The round robin determined which teams faced each other in the finals. U.S.A. had the best record so they had a better bye facing Switzerland in the quarters and Finland in the semis. Canada, beaten earlier by the U.S had a tougher road, Russia in the Quarters and Slovakia in the Semi-final. Both teams earned the right to meet in the finals.

Also the games were played on a standard size NHL rink and not large ice as mentioned above.
Canadians Never cheat at Hockey! I'm sorry but we are just better than the rest of the world on most days...LOL

Russ I wasn't making excuses, I thought I was making a compliment. When it was more wide open ( 4 on 4) it was clear that the Canandian team was more talented handling the puck. And blame the stupid people on our national broadcasting ( NBC) they kept saying it was the larger international size rink. ..Paul

I believe this was the 1st Winter Olympics that switched from an Olympic size rink to the NHL size rink, easy mistake.

Ya know I have never really had much interest in hocky. I mainly stuck with the Football,Basketball and Baseball sports. Man the wife is going to get sick of me even more with now hocky as another past time sport for me to watch and have another excuse to become even more of a sports couch potato. Oh well. I looked at it more of an allstar Hocky game than a US vs Canada match. I was glued to every game leading up to the final game.
