Can you please give me some advice. This is my first year - Day 65 - the main vine has developed a crack approx 1 inch long and 1/4 inch wide about 4 feet upstream from the fruit. It appears soft with a jelly consistenct in the centre. the remaining stem is firm. I have tried to dry the area, are ther any chemical preparations that I should apply? I read that sulphur dust is used for stem cracks - sould I apply this and possibly an antifungal?
Thanks for advice

Really work on drying it. Use a fan and run it 24-7. I have used a tent over the area to keep rain and irrigation water from getting on the vine splits. Both the sulphur dust and an anti-fungal would be good ideas. Good luck.
