WOW, you talk about alot of snow, it reminded me back when I was a kid living in West Virgina.

My power was out for 29 hrs!,, just wondering if any of you guys across the state got hammered with outages.

I got to get caught up on the recent news to see how bad it really was,,lol.

you just dont know how we take electricity for granted untill we really need it, thats for sure,,lol. I dont know how many times i went into the bathroom and flipped the light switch on to see knowing dang well the power was off,, haha!

I promised myself 2 years ago to buy a generator and never did, I wont be with out one the next storm. Anyone know of some reasonable buys out there?

My buddy at work has one that has a power interruption sensor on it so as soon as the power goes off to your house, the gernerator automatically kicks in and its super quiet. I will try to find out some more info.

Hey Brooks, like John D. a buddy of mine has one (at his cabin) for the "just in case" emergencies that work out great when they are not there.

If the power is interupted, it switches on automatically to keep things powered up and working.

They can be pricey...but sure better than exploding all your pipes and/or defrosting everything in your freezer.

You don't appreciate the lights until they go out. Sunrise on a clear day gets that much brighter too... Been waiting for our turn, here. When you are being shown houses and the realtor says 'this one is great, it has a wood burning fireplace... oh and make sure you have candles or lanterns handy too' ...um... okay. Last time we had stuff out, it was 2 days in town, and up to 10 more before the National Guard DUG some people out in surrounding area, heck with power on yet.
