I was wondering how many clubs give out seeds, (from their member's pumpkins & other giants each spring)to those who join up for a year? The GVGO has been doing this from the start, along with donating a package of our best seeds to most other clubs for their future auctions & other fundraisers. If your club would like to trade with the GVGO this year, please email us & we'll put you on the list.

Which clubs don't offer free seeds to their members each winter when they join? Thanks.

Happy New Year,
Phil

If you want to be eligible for the PGVG seed giveaway (usually more than 35 seeds!) memberships need to be in by March 15th. The easiest way to pay is to go to our website. www.pgvg.org and click on the 'pay now' link for membership. Mailing information is also there if you want to go that route. Cheers, Brent Savage

We did when we sold memberships. Today you're a member only if you entered our prior year's weighoff. Hence we no longer mail a paper news letter. Instead I'm going to author and/or gather articles to send out as pdfs by email.

Those folks who have recently committed to growing we will get them seeds and/or mentor to make sure they don't fail

I would like to extend this thread:

which clubs do give OTHER GIANT VEGGIES SEEDS in their seedpromos too, not only AG seeds?

I know GVGO does it and so does our own European club EGVGA.

We also trade seed promos / auction seeds with other clubs.

Thanks for the co-operation!

most of the more established clubs have some sort of feature that helps creats a need and desire to belong.
free seed giveaways are a great attraction, especially for the new/newer grower.
for the most part unfortunately, a lot of these seeds never get planted untill someone hits on one of them.

over the past five years it has been the goal of the southern new england club to publish the best most informative newsletters available anywhere, while also providing for as much individual participation from our members as possible.

this past year for example we gave back over $3,700.
00 to our members in the form of a virtual members only weigh-off.
members in any and all weight catagories had an opportunity to win cash prizes.

we also offer any promotional products and/or services first to our membership.the subject of seed packet giveaways just never became a issue with our members. if it was im sure we would have addressed it in some fashion

PNWGPG has always had seed distribution as part of the membership package. Seeds are from PNWGPG members as well as seeds that are shared from other clubs. All members who renew prior to March 1st receive the seeds as part of their membership. Newsletters are now delivered via email.
