how many people grow flags i got a new kid on the way and thought i may try 3 or 4 flags and 2 big plants growing the flags to save some time in the patch and get some crosses i want what has been grown on a flag thanks

I'm guessing it depends on the size of the flag plant. How many sq. ft. you planning on? I haven't grown a flag pattern, but it sounds like a good growing pattern to get some crosses done, if size isn't the ultimate goal.

i got all the space i need just thought 2 12ft by 30ft plants can get me two pumpkins and 2 crosses with the same work as 1 25ft x 30 ft plant

At the prison I work at, there was alot of inmates that was once straight, but once they do over ten years or so they all flags now..

In 2003 I grew a 760 pound pumpkin from the 582 Hester seed on a flag pattern plant of about 400 sf. It was my personal best at the time.
