Bossen, I have a twin brother that resides in Saskatoon. I am trying to get him to grow up there but the growing season is short as you know. I have yet to do any calcium pumpkin washing...just try to balance your soil, keep your plants healthy and plant seeds that tend not to split...this is why we plant multiple plants as well...

Trailer,we are living 250km straight east of saskatoon. This year was my first yer growing them ever.Came over from Norway in 2000.And we bought the homequarter of a farm.We are renting out the fields,i am retired from Norway,so i made me a new big garden last year.I think i have ca 25000 squere feet.We lost at least a month of the early summer. So my biggest one was 242 LB.That was enought to take 1 place,so i was happy.Icalculated that if we had good weather all summer,i would had a 700LB.And that would have been a good first growing ever.I have a 1343.5 LYONS 08 F:1385JUTRAS 07 M:1470Wallace 07 401"OTT and a 1395.5 LEONARD 08 F:1689 Jutras 07 M:-OPEN.Plus that i am waiting for seeds from Vancouver Island, that have potensial to grow a 1500 LB.What do you think,be honest.I hope you understand my Norwegian english?-----BOSSEN of FOSSTON SK.
