I was sent a orange 1/2 ton patch a couple years ago (It was really 2 patches) and cant for the life of me remember who sent me the patch. Was it you Peace,Wayne?,, Im thinking it was from a Kentucky, or a Virgina grower who made these patches up but not sure.

But was wondering if you still can get the patches maybe the clubs out there could purchase some of them off you to give to there club members that grew one over 1000lbs.

That was the first patch I ever received, and was excited about getting it. I still need to put that patch on my Jacket, but I cant sew so gotta take it to someone who knows how,,,,lol

Great idea Brooks! I don't know of anyone here in Virginia who made the patches but now that we have a few guys going over 1000 I would be interested.

thanks Glenn, and Wayne,

Wayne,if you get a chance could you post your email or shoot me one?
You also sent me a seed with that patch and since I dont think Im going to grow it I want to return the favor to you (its a great seed if you can remember right?).. Since your so giving in the patches over the years I want to give you something back to you in return, unless you already have one to plant next year?,,ha! The seed isnt easy to find now a days and thought you would like it back to grow. The seed is always on my short list to grow but never get around to growing it.

Thanks Bud,
Brooks

Glenn, just read that post, WOW, that brought back alot of great memories and all the support I received after that weigh off, that really gave me a fuzzy feeling inside,,lol!

Thanks for re posting that, I forgot all about that post. That's one of the main reasons why I grow these giants, one is because of all the great friends I have made on this site over the years and all the support you get from all the growers.

Again, thanks for posting that!,,lol,, hopefully next year I can get out of my rut I'm in, and start growing them big again, it sure is a great but nervous feeling to have when you have a couple big ones going in the patch before weigh in. I hope everyone on this site gets to experience that exciting feeling, nothing like it!,,lol

PS, Remember, if you dont have a Pukos seed growing in your patch its bad luck,,lol, always have a Pukos seed growing in your patch no matter what the seed is,,,hahaha!

It was Marvin Meisner who started the 1/2 ton patches and shirts. I believe he still has some.
