Hottis, you are surely missing something quite fantastic! When I was young mom had to hide the pumpkin pie for if I found it, what she found was an empty shell!

Monster made a really good if mild flavored pumpkin pie. Was worth all that work to make it into my favorite holiday meal, one reason I am a dessertarian to this day!
Kaarina, you need to learn to make this delicacy :)
One more baggie of frozen pumpkin, being saved for Christmas!

and pumpkin rolls, and pumpkin Blizzards, pumpkin icecream, pumpkin cake. my sis's boyfriend said yesterday, "i never knew there were so many diff pumpkin desserts before i met this family". no pumpkin shortage at our house this year! happy thanksgiving!!

I once bought pumpkin flavored ice cream. I must not have liked it much, as a half full carton was still in the freezer a few months after buying it, until it was finally thrown it out. Usually ice cream is eaten within a few days here.
