I was thinking it would be great for every weigh off site to not only have the GPC banner but also a banner for www.Bigpumpkins.com, Stillwater MN weigh-off had a couple this year. I think alot of people who know nothing about giant pumpkins who see the giant pumpkins for the first time at a weigh-off could see the www.Bigpumpkins.com banners and know where to go for more info. This site has taught me everything I know. Thank You (trying to contribute to giant pumpkin growing here) any nea's or yea's?

I dont think you will get any no's on that idea. Maybe each club can buy a banner with some of their auction money they make using this site?

I dont think the banners would be to expensive, but the question would probably be how would you go about getting one, and who to contact?

To the clubs who already have a banner, how did you go about getting yours?

Well that's funny you should bring this up. When I was at the Elk Grove weigh offs the announcer asked me what my "secret" was. I spoke into the microphone, saying bigpumpkins.com. Well one of the lifting crew then yelled out "and extermepumpkinstore.com". To which the announcer replied, "yeah they are good too" or something along those lines. My point being, if you put a banner up for one then everyone else will want one up too.

Next year, if BP had a teeshirt with logo I'd wear that at our weighoff. That's good advertising too, and I have seen tees like that in other pictures....

www.balloonsoverrhodeisland.com has been the supplier of all the gpc site banners as well as individual club banners, bumper stickers, club stickers , for many pumpkin clubs.

if clubs are truely interested in honoring bp.c with a weigh-off banner. ( i think its a fitting tribute to what this site has done for so many ) then someone meeds to design or supply a logo to bori graphix, get a price and supply that information to all the clubs represented here on bp.

if enough clubs will support the idea i will get with ken at bp, and gary at bori graphix, for a banner design.

sign on here if your club is on board with the idea?

the cost is dependant on size of banner. full size like the gpc banner would be around $45.00 and half that size im guessing around $25.00 ?? not sure

Pap, maybe you could make a new posting stating just that, clubs on board with the idea. (I'm sure more people read your posts than they do mine.)
