I am getting ready to send a hoard of seeds to a Ugandan charity (about 4000 pumpkin seeds)and thought to myself, 'I bet other growers would like to do this too' so here I am asking if anyone else would like to throw in seeds from pumpkins, or any other vegetable, that are viable, but not necessarily tradable or are getting old in a closet. For instance, I have about 10 2-400 pounders that were open pollinated, but the seeds were viable. I am sending those. If you are interested, please email me or just send dried seeds this way and I will put your name next to mine on a donation list. I am plannign on sending some photos of the pumpkins as well to help get them excited. I can not see where this is a tax writeoff, so it is just out of kindness.

That is very cool. I have a hunch that the people on this website will be able to fill many many bellies over there by way of our knowledge of growing vegetables and sheer amount of seeds that realistically we normally would just feed to squirrels. They are looking to actually plant these for food. Gives an old pumpkinguru a warm fuzzy. I know, I know, he said warm fuzzy...but in this case, even I am serious.
