One of the best gadgets I bought was a hose bib water meter. Great tool! Took all the math and guess work out of how much water was being supplied. You can know to the teneth of a gallon.

Extra corporeal shock wave lithotripsy. Blasted that big kidney stone into a million pieces so the doctor didn't have to fillet me to get it out. Made it possible to work in the patch this year. Second best was arthroscopic knee surgery. Fixed up the torn miniscus and cartilage so I can work the patch next year.

I'd love to get in touch with the fella that got a DUI on his motorized Lazy Boy recliner. He was half way there. Add a tiller attachment and you've really got something.

It was'nt a lazyboy, they had a bid for it on ebay and it got 37,000 dollars, they had to start the bidding over because it was reported as a Lazy boy but it was'nt, it still got 10,000 on ebay, that was in Procter,MN

That's hysterical Richard. I love that story. I just wonder why they took it away from him before he had time to complete his obligations to the state. Normally you impound a persons vehicle and they can still get it back.

Feedtubs for plant covers, windbreak, tea brewing, etc. They are about 24" high and 24" in diameter, heavy reuseable, and free for awhile now $2 deposit from feed store. I use 6-8 per plant from in hoop to when main reaches about 7' long.

Front tine roto tiller. During vine-burying season, it'll get right up to the plant and make burying a breeze.

for the backyard grower without a tractor for subsoiling, try the deep spader. a lot of work, but great results. it can break up the hard pan and lift the soil up 4 to 6 inches with ease. takes some strength and muscle to do it right, and that is why i paid my friends nephew to break his back to do what need to be done badly. i can probe 16" in the patch with ease at every location and it does not mix the bottom soil into the top soil which can be trouble for throwing it out of balance a bit.

Mark I agree on the straps, cant wait to get mine, I know its going to make it alot simpler. Im tired of 4 or 5 different straps that aren't the same size that makes it difficult and nerve racking when picking up your pumpkin,,lol. I should have bought the P&P straps a long time ago but never knew he had em. After all, they are one of the most important things you will ever need, cause who wants to drop a big pumpkin the day of a weigh off after all that hard work of babying your pumpkin all season long,, I know I dont! Trust me I know,,lol!!

Another thing is new in line scales , still looking for the add in the past ovgpg newsletters, but cant find it to order one yet. But I will definitely have one by Christmas. I run over my first set of in line scales, so borrowing one all the time was getting old.
