How many of you guys use seat belts as your lifting straps? If you do, how did you modify them? I been thinking about using them but only down side is finding someone who can sew the straps back shorter in order for them to work better.
How did you do this and is there a special sewing pattern to use so that the straps wont come apart?

$6 bucks for 6ft straps at Princess Auto right now. Looped and stitched at both ends with a 25oolb capacity...work pretty good:)

Have you got a saddelery or horse cover repairs place near by or any auto upholsterer will do it.

Brooks, I bought the straps that Ray is talking about. I love them!!! For the money you can't beat them for getting the job done. I highly recommend those straps.

Billy, I tried the tow straps, and the hooks on the one end always seemed to get in the way.

I'm buying a new in line scale next year that the guys from the OVGPG have been using and the p&p set up will work great with it.
