No. Manure now. Synthetic ferts can leach or volatilize but if you play your cards right now, you won't need synth ferts.

Add all organtic matter now. I assume you got your soil tested. Go off the testing and in the spring get another test and add the rest of the ammendments.

soilwas tested need to add nitrogen, a liitlepotassium, and lower the ph

Add manure/compost now. Get it tilled in. Plant a legume cover crop ASAP.

Added about 5 yards of composted manure to my 750 square foot patch, and lots of shredded oak leaves hopefully this does the trick.
