Okay, lets start off with this.... How are new rules for the GPC voted on? Is it any member who wishes to vote or govening body vote? Either way, when are new topics discussed?

new rules are voted on by the board of directors in the winter (if needed at all). new topics are brought up in the off-season, mainly the more serious issues brought to light by the regional reps.

If you don't already know your district's representative there could be a communication breakdown already.

We aren't looking to create more or new rules but we do have two items on our agenda now for this winter. Site coordinators, grower reps, judges, etc are all included in major items.

There is one volunteer board member per region. I cover New England.

New England
NY, PA & Southeast
Great Lakes
Central, Midwest
Pacific Coast, AK HI
Central & West Canada
Ontario & Eastern Canada
International Sites

These regions might soon be realigned to improve service.

We meet with site coordinators & representatives at numerous times throughout the year.

The board meets weekly by internet most of the winter. Again on the cruise (that we all pay for ourselves) & again at a few times at Niagara Falls. Last year we also had pocket meetings with some club leaders at Niagara.

We listen all year for constructive ideas. We are all growers. Most ideas come from from weighoff coordinators but we also have a dedicated message board here at BP. Should growers feel detached from their weighoff all of us regional board members are pretty accessible.
