Anybody ever use alpaca poo on their patch. I found one place to grow, then I found a even better place to grow. Both places are alpaca farms. So alpaca poo is avalible, since the better place to frow has 85 animals, that make 120lbs of poo a month. Alpacas eat a mixture of orchard grass and blue grass. They have two stomachs and poop out pellets. They are members of the camalid family.
So is there poo on good?

I use quite a bit of Alpaca poo (16 -18 yards) as does Brad Perham and Stan Pugh we have a real good source and we really like the results we have been getting from it Pumpkin wise and soil wise.

Giant, I used alpaca poo through out the year, and LOVED IT. Like it's already been said, there no composting.

The supplier where I get most of my amendments also raises a large number of alpaca I like to call them meka-peca (if you have small kids you know what I'm talking about) I was there today and enquired about getting some of the meka-peca poo after reading this thread. They said I could take as much as I want in the spring. So this stuff will be sitting around all winter. I already added about 10 000lbs of nice aged cow manure so I dont want to add any meka-peca poo this fall.
My question is, since it's a cold manure, can I top dress with it throughout the growing season or directly bury vines with it?
