We've got our 2 pumpkins emptied and awaiting carving. We usually do traditional jack-o-lanterns but are unsure what to do.
Don't want to get too fancy as we are carving with an saws-all and a drywall knife but would like to do something more this year with the face.
Anyone who has done one and has it carved, please post the link here;
Thanks/Glenn

I did a sun pattern in 2007 that came out nicely.
I have several pictures in the 2007 diary after this pic.

This year I am going to do one out of Tom Nardone's two books "Extreme Pumpkins" books one and two. www.extremepumpkins.com

Here are a few pumpkins I've carved from my big ones. First three are this seasons 984.5 http://www.bigpumpkins.com/DiaryImages/FullSize/123530.jpg http://www.bigpumpkins.com/DiaryImages/FullSize/123531.jpg http://www.bigpumpkins.com/DiaryImages/FullSize/123532.jpg
I liked this one best: http://www.bigpumpkins.com/DiaryImages/FullSize/59730.jpg http://www.bigpumpkins.com/DiaryImages/FullSize/59731.jpg http://www.bigpumpkins.com/DiaryImages/FullSize/59732.jpg
Didn't much care for how the first one below turned out but the second one was easy and people loved it: http://www.bigpumpkins.com/DiaryImages/FullSize/76442.jpg http://www.bigpumpkins.com/DiaryImages/FullSize/76445.jpg

For the one above I liked best. I used a grapefruit spoon that had a serrated edge on it and kitchen knife to carve it.
