Their webcam went down during the peak interest period. They don't post results here (non GPC) so where else might their results be?

It was quite a dramatic day, as Dr. Bob had the last remaining contender for 2009(as far as I know). Many thanks to those who came from afar to see the weighoff and watch things play out as Dr. Bob's pumpkin went lighter than tape.

Christy remains supreme as the 2009 queen of pumpkins and world champion. The Circleville Growers Association wish her and Nick all the best during her reign and may they continue to grow them big!

does anybody know why the circleville herald has the info on the weigh-off incorrect ,because they are saying that dean park has 3rd place ,and gary liff is 4th place ,and they did not even mention the gerchy family or lucky conley who was the one who actually placed 4th ,and when we called the herald they were very rude ,and said their statements were correct ,and they were not changing anything !! i think there is something fishy going on ,and i'm wondering why they are so sturn about their false info!especially to lucky who placed 4th and dedicated his pumpkin to his late brother buddy conley !!!

All of us at the seed sale area chuckled at the Herald's erroneous reporting. It's not the first time this has happened and all they had to do was look at the tally board.

It's the Circleville Herald, you can't expect too much. If they started correcting themselves, the paper would be twice as thick.

I no longer subscribe to the Circleville Herald for reasons like this.Everyone makes mistakes, the problem is when they don't correct their errors. All of us that really care know the great job everyone did this year and I think Buddy was with us all this season. Its just sad that the local news paper can't take the time to correct their errors but thats the way its been ran for a while now.
