You know, hockey game is 60 minutes and now we have played 59.45 only... Still time to score, still some weigh-offs ahead this year...

As you guys say, "it aint over untill fat lady sings"

Might be or might not be, lets take one more to scale and see what happens...

I dont promise anything but we might be close to something huge, scale will tell the truth eventually. Soon...

Pocatello Farmer's Market Weighoff, Pocatello Old Town Pavilion, Oct. 24, 2009, 11:00am. Be there or be square.

The smart money says that the world record won't be broken at this weighoff.

Seriously, could anyone still have a pumpkin that big and be able to keep it a secret?

Cornerstone in Barrie Ontario is this weekend. It's the last GPC event in North America that I know of. Good chance the World Record squash could get weighed and the Lyons' I hear have a good one...

I seriously doubt there is anything to worry about being weighed at the Terminator. Just a bunch of growers enjoying the last weigh-off of the season and planning for next year.

Yeah,on Cornerstore at least very BIG green thing to come.

I dont know about Terminator or Pocatello.

What I know is that I would not yet give out crown to anyone. Im not talking about unknown sandbaggers.Im talking about real thing, real monster pumpkin which will hit the scale soon. Is it WR?, dont know, nobady knows yet.Possible it will be or come near. We need to wait that this relatively new grower cut his fruit off the vine and brings it to scale.

All focus has been last weeks on Circleville weigh-off and everybody was talking about 1800-2000 pounder. Didnt unfornately happen there.

This season has had big drame with great pumpkins and drama will continue little longer...

false hype miika?...who can still be hiding in the weeds for this long? pics or otts for some proof or hints to the "drama" you are talking about?

oh my gosh. i'm with shazzy. if you think i'm going to keep losing sleep until who knows when, you people are crazy. so can you just post pictures? or estimates? or even a date when the weighoff is? or names? the rumors are enough to drive anyone insane and i'll be the first to say YES I'M INSANE!!!! i've had it with mysteries. we want information!!

Pocatello ([email protected])

he he he,... Ah Miika, please know that Pocatello is a very small town, I'm the only serious grower here that I know, it's a very bad climate for this, and I don't see a threat out there for my 400 pounder. Just going down to pick up the prize, whatever that might be. The 1725 is going to stand, for at least a year and perhaps more.

I'm likely going to win three weighoffs this year, and if you added all three of them up they wouldn't total 1725, LOL!

OTT was over 400" by mid September=about 37 days ago. Week ago it still put 7-8 pounds a day. Still growing little bit and will be weighed on this weekend.

Grower has gut feelings it will go heavy and what I know about gut feelings is that mostly they are correct.

Christy, you have got e-mail from this gower this year.

I dont have permit from grower to say more at this point, sorry.

I hear about this France grower, too

somebody said a storm destroyed many leaves,
but at this point the pumpkin in france
was between 1500 and 1600 pounds meassured.

well we will see.

however, i would be happy if europe gets its first 1500 pounder.

Christy, you grew a helluva pumpkin. 'Nuff said.

Been seeing that the chart seems to be off in the upper regions, I think they need to tweak it.

If there is one still out there in the weeds, bring'R on!
I wish the fellow good luck, may it go heavy.

I'm sure you're getting the blazer Christy, accessorize it with a grinning Nick on the arm, and you're in-like-Flynn.

Quinn, It's off my 1180.5. It's big, but the grower has never indicated to me that it's anywhere near a WR. A PB for sure and it's very pretty. Christy, I sent you an email. Joe P.

Lets assume that we are talking about EURO grower. Why this grower didnt brought this pumpkin to EURO champ in Ludwigsburg, Germany on 11th October? Was it because this pumpkin would there get other pumpkins look tiny? Was it because this pumpkin was still putting on pounds and goal was set higher than ER? Its Big but how Big?

Miika, organisator of Ludwigsburg weigh off said, that there is a pumkin in France, as grower I think he mentioned mehdi daho, which intended to come to LB . It should weigh about 700 kg. He phoned the organisator, that he cant come to LB because a tornado or storm has destroyed theroof of his house and Stefan told that the grower was very sad about that. Perhaps he will come two weeks later and the will organize an official weighing for that. Perhaps some french growers can chime in.
