Great job; you guys are the stars. The public was better served by your two minutes then the first hour of A. N. Smith and the Flying saucer family.

its just a shame that someone out there in pumpkinland cant steer a big time sponsor toward the gpc.

there is so much more that could be done . but it takes
m o n e y and b a c k i n g.

enjoyed seeing the gang at the staging warehouse sunday a.m.

Dick, I would think at least a major beer distributor would be interested. Their return on investment would be huge in this community. Annual consumption of beer alone from participants in this sport has to be in the gigagallons.

I still think an "East vs. West", live event on ESPN2 would be the start. We've had this discussion before... They do televise hot dog eating contests, after all.

You need more than one tense moment to keep people watching for an hour. So, you pit 5 top growers from east of the Mississippi against 5 top growers from the west. One side will win it all! You have a site in Pennsylvania, and another in South Dakota (centrally located for each) and they weigh them off in real-time, for the cameras. Each grower on the WINNING side takes home $20K. Growers on the loosing side take home $5K for their time and expenses to get there.

All that, and a sponsor. That's all we need. ;-)

Got home late last night. Super great experience (this coming from someone who declared at the age of 17 that I was NEVER EVER going back to NYC as long as I live!!). HUGE THANKS to everyone involved in getting this setup and pulled off b/c I know it was a pain for a lot of them !!

(biggest names that come to mind for the shoutout are steve j, stelts, matt luce, michelle, stephany, and the defintely the truck driver guy!!).

LOL Christy...the truck driver guy was Harold. Was his attitude OK?

Dave & Carol

Team Munson

Carol & I got in late Monday nite and still are trying to get caught up on our sleep!!!

I would like to thank Steve Jepson, Valley Green, Matt, Harold, (I would thank Julio but he took a chunk out of our pumpkin LOL). With out the help of the guys from Valley Green the logistics of this would be almost impossible my hat is off to you THANK YOU!!!

I would like to thank all growers from CT, RI, & MA for making the trip on a very cold and rainy day it was great to see all of you and made my trip. I would especially like to thank Matt DeBacco for getting the seeds out of our 1,421.5 pumpkin I will make sure you get what ever you want from our seed stock!!!

I will get some pics out soon for all to see we have some good ones (but they would not let me take pictures of Nick in the make-up chair LOL)

Cliff I like where you are going with that now all we need is to get $$$$ to make it happen any ideas???
