I've had a few people ask me how we go about the 'Guess the Weight" contest at our Safeway store. I pretty much just deliver the pumpkin tell the manager how much it weighed and let him go from there. Guesses are a dollar each. All proceeds go to breast cancer research and the the closest guess to the pound wins a $100 Safeway gift certificate. Guessing goes on all month and winner is announced on Oct. 31. If anyone has any suggestions or additions as to how to put on a good guess the weight contest, please post!

Definitely sounds like it's all settled :)

Hope you get a better seed count too.

And it raises a lot more $$$ than last year's! More is always better!

Perhaps another idea, to avoid any possibility of a claim of disclosure of the weight, would be to guess how many mature seeds are inside the fruit, then have a public event, reclaiming the seeds
