I have recieved an email, thought I would forward it in here and see if anyone has a giant for this fella. Here is the details.

(copied email)

I’d really like a 1,000-pounder if you know of one, but cost, shipping, and timing will be considerations. I have a few other inquiries out, as a deal through a local broker fell through this weekend.

I’m the Elephant Manager at Busch Gardens Tampa, the giant pumpkin is for our elephants. We wanted to carve out the inside of the pumpkin and stuff it with apples and other treats, so many of the seeds could probably be salvaged, but I would be afraid to scoop out too much of the inside for fear of the pumpkin shell collapsing before the elephants get to it. And once they get to it, the opportunity to retrieve seeds intact rapidly declines!

So, if you have some ideas on prices and shipping for yours’ or other giant pumpkins, any info (size/pricing, shipping if you have done this before) would be great. I’m involved in the process, but I am also working with another department on this. There -may- also be some promotional opportunities in this as well. At any rate, we’ll need to make a decision in the next few days.

Thank you again,

-Otto Fad

Atlantic giants have to be organically grown to be eaten.
Please let them know that.
