In my mind, it's rude to give out someone's personal information without permission of the person whose information it is. You can certainly email Christy from BP if you're interested in her home address, and she can decide directly if she wants to give it out or not.

christy told us yesterday at longwood gardens that people are going so far as to call her school while she is working. do her a favor and leave her alone for a while. you never ask for seeds of that caliber before they are out of the pumpkin.

This is the part of it that has to be the most pain in the ass of all of it. When she said her school email was being overloaded that was the tipping point. That email is there so parents can contact her about their children, and when it's overloaded and she doesn't get back to them it reflects bad on her. If there is a problem with your child you could care less about a pumpkin. When it starts to interfere with you being able to do your job ( thru no fault from yourself ) that's crossing the line.

As for her home address Briggette is correct, her email can be accessed from her diary and then she can decide.

Check her diary.
You will notice on her last post there a very good reason why she would not want her family home adress on a public forum.
She has an e-mail adress on that page, but her and Nick cannot get to all of them because they get so many.

Lets all try to be cool about things. The classy thing to do is e-mail her.( insert annoyed sarcastic voice) But if you must contact the school! At least offer to make a donation to the school or to a charity that they support. That would at least off set the rude intrusion on the school administration.

Anyone that tries to contact her at school or school's email should be banned from growing. How would your employer like it if I called you at work or sent you a dozen emails a day. I am extremely happy for Christy and Nick but I hate the fact that they have to deal with this bullshit. Leave them the alone. If you have never grown an AG before don't contact her for seeds. There are plenty of seeds with great genetics and just because the seed came from a world record doesn't mean that a inexperienced person will grow the next WR. It takes skill & dedication.

Realistically, Chrisy will probably donate seeds to clubs she belongs to, send seeds to close friends, probably donate to auctions. If you are someone she doesn't know I would look to get the seeds from a club or an auction. Don't bombard her with requests that she will feel bad about not being able to fulfill. If you feel you MUST request a seed from the world record pumpkin, then wait until the dust settles. Christy not only has the pumpkin world to deal with right now, she also has the media world.
