Hello to everyone from sunny, warm, Western New York. I finished harvesting the oranges and grapefruit today and have to pack away the limes tonight! Well....not exactly.. We are on the hook for possibly the first significant snowstorm of the season. After a challenging summer, mother nature now wants to waterboard us with snow!

Maybe we can include a new category- the frozen pumpkin weigh-off in mid October. The rules would be simple.. You need a frozen density of cordwood and six inches of snow.Prizes could be based on the permafrost depth of each fruit....
Hey... look on the positive side.. only a few months to Niagara and soon after that a new season begins.

Congrats and a tip-o-the hat to all who grew this past year. It was a real year to find out how resilient we are!!
Best wishes all!

Jeremy-
I intended to be there. But.. my wife has an illness that is cyclical in nature. And that weekend we were down for recovery. I could not leave her at home alone nor could she travel. I truly miss being there.. I had one about 650 to show, but it was not to be.
Please- all Pumpkinville folks... Congrats and best wishes.. I wish I could have made it.. but family called..
