I let my 1143 dmg pumpkin for 2 weeks outside for showing. Now it has some rotten spots and I opened it today to take the seeds out. Inside there was a rotten liquid, where I found the most of the seeds inside. Some of the seeds start germination. Now I think, if the other seeds beginning with germination too and I will dry it now, they will never germitate next year. Has somebody experience with this problem?

Those that haven't germinated must be cleaned (5% bleach) then dried 2-3 weeks. Then try to germinate a few to see how they are.

I saw one do the exact same thing last season, germination rate of the seeds was around 30% even after they were well dried out.

Mine did that. You can see the pics here in my diary.
