Look in the phone book for a dairy farm nearby - they usually have plenty they are willing to let you have !

Post an ad on craigslist and be specific about what you want. I did and had people coming out of the wood work offering me manure. I just deleted the ad 5 minutes ago because I am still getting responses from a week ago. I am curious why you do not want horse manure?

If you get well compost horse manure the seeds will have been burnt up. The pile needs to get above 130F to kill the seeds. Horse manure carries more N value and less salts. Rabbit manure is some real good crap. If you can locate a rabbit farm nearby you'll be a happy camper. Remember composting any manure before use is the key. I have been researching manure for the past 3 months so i don't make any mistakes with what I add to my patch. Good luck on the crap hunt.

I would network. Try a feed store and work from there. I do this all the time. If I see a pile, I will stop by. Typically, once you tell them what you are doing, you get some good leads. I had a good discussion with the wood pellet guys that led me to a farm. That is the fun of it. It is easy to buy it, but when someone delivers it for seeds, you will now have someone to help load as well. Just think WWDYD.
