Just when you think you have 4000# "in the bag" you find this when loading your pumpkin the night before the event. As a wise grower once said "it is what it is." Lol.
This folks is why they make beer....right Joe, Alex, Joe...etc......lolol.
I'd assume at least a month ++old and properly sealed to avoid any molding / rot. Pumpkin grew to the last day. Oh well!

Yes pay close attention to the edges of the crack, you can clearly see that this happened long before as there is built up scar tissue along the edges. Amazing there was no rot up inside the cavity visible. Chris I'm surprised that it wasn't the rodent bordello of New Richmond!
