So think back and post what you did as a hobby before growing Pumpkins?
Fished, took photos of flowers, and cooked. :)

Hmmmm, well sports have always been a get-away for me..I'm a hugh Clemson Tiger, New York Yankees, and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Working out, Playing softball anything outdoors. HOWEVER I must say this thing has hit me like a TON of brick's I never knew I could get so caught up and interested in something so quick. Now I get to spend time at home, stay active and work outdoors at the same time. Good post..

I've only been growing AG's for 2 years now and I can't even remember what I was doing before.
I always grew a garden.....but AG's brought it up to a different level.

Gardening, hunting and fishing with the family. About the only thing that is changing is going to the kids' school activities. My daughter is finishing up at community college and my son is a seinor at high school. Jacob might wrestle in college but after that I will have to wait for grandkids.

I used to box, so that's where the name Kenny the heat came from. I also saltwater fish and of coarse bagpiping. Growing just came to me i'm addicted. Made some great friends and a second family.

Seriously gardened, just other things.... main difference is I didn't need major heavy equipment to harvest! Oh, flowers. I miss the flowers I used to grow.

I was big into fishing and gardening. Now I fish very little and my vegetable garden has seriously decreased in size to make room for the giants!

I still make itout to deepsea fish (tuna & yellowtail)I still river fish also, but not nearly as much. I collect RS Prussia china and coins through out the winter months. My veggie garden and pumpkin patches just keep getting bigger and bigger. Growing the giants gives me the feeling of acomplishment that I never had with anything else. Sorta gives one peace of mind if you will.

Fishing, going to baseball games . First time in 5-6 years I did not go to St Louis to a cardinals game. My minor league team won the championship and I went to 3 games before the growing season. oh well

hahaha seems like an eternity ago! Camping, hiking, car and tractor shows, drag racing, demolition derbies, my heirloom tomato/vegetable garden, grafting apple trees, restoring classic cars/pickups/antique tractors...at least I still get out hunting and fishing...

I used to be married (lol). I thank pumpkins for shedding some light on that problem. I also used to sing in a Barbershop Quartet...but mostly spent time with the family or watched TV. Fortunately, I don't have a TV anymore, and my daughter is 17 and living with the ex. She is still the one thing that always trumps pumpkins though!

I drag raced motorcycles then drag raced cars. Then I was ranked in the Top 7 in USA in the Bench Press 242 body weight. Growing pumpkins seems kinda starge for me huh???? But I like it!!!
