Personally I'd like to grow the 1725 and cross it back to the 1385 the 1068, or the 1187 Jutras 09. I will be growing taht seed this year and crossing it to my 984.5 Perry.

The 1385 was selfed or open pollenated by six different people in the 08 season. Christy grew that seed last year and it was open pollenated.
This year three people, selfed, sibbed or open pollenated the 1385.
The results were not the same. Christy just did a spectacular job of growing that beast.

not too many people feel that a selfed seed is a good thing. But a sibbed seed would tend to be a bit more desireable

The 1385.5 is proven seed, and fromw what Isee I'm thinking the stats will go up this year. The 1725, although selfed (and we'll have to see if it even has seed) is not yet proven. With AG, genetics is basically the probability of success. But as probability goes, I'll have say the probability of me growing 1385 or 1725 seed is zero ... ummm because the probability of me geting one is zero. Unless someone cares to prove me wrong that is!

Hopefully there's a generous seed count in the 1725. If there is, I'm guessing several of the seeds will be planted. It should shed more light on the potential of selfed seeds. For breeding, it could prove especially useful.
