This has nothing to do with politics and everything to do with kids, smiles, and giant pumpkins. The trick or treat party will have a few hundred kids from DC present. Hopefully the good PR generated will open more doors for clubs that are working on sponsers, new sites, etc.

Perhaps this will work out to be an annual tradition similar to the White House Christmas tree, that has been suggested 8-)
