Just wondering if anyone had the results of the Colorado Springs, Colorad City Weigh-off held on Saturday?

doug minix won with 1000lbs even.mark sawtelle 2nd,jim grande 3rd ,yours truly 4th.Mark brought four pumpkins and picked correctly on which one to enter-it was in the low 900's.wiz has the stats and will enter them.it was a great contest and went smoothly

My ISP was down yesterday so I was not able to input the data, bummer since I have time on the weekends to do it.......Cant do it from this one....(work) <wink> <wink>
Springs was a great time, great event this year with lots of pumpkins. Info will get put in tonight I hope......

Currently Marc is in the lead for Colorado Grower of the Year......ItZ going to be close between him and the BiZ.....Will have to wait until LongMont this weekend........and we will see if the 1283 can withstand withstandZ itZ first test.......

Great to hear everyone had a good time. I am sorry that I could not make it down there. Had only a small one, 300 or so, but would have liked to see everyone again.
Will be bringing both to the Longmont Weigh-off next week.

Remember y'all, if you really NEED, we're down the road from you, on the 17th, and we are fully sanctioned (aka grower of year stuff COUNTS) at ours towards GPC stuff :) And we'd credit ya for growing them up there too. You can even bring any greenies left that haven't turned white...

The Weights are now posted for the Old Colorado City Weigh Off.
It was a great time this year with lots of pumpkins and beautiful weather. Great to see Doug finally join the half ton club.
589 for a top 10 Average
Ron Franzen won the Howard Dill Award
Gary Shenfish had the longest long gourd at 7" .
Great Weigh Off and everything went very well.

Also I want to THANK Joe Scherber, State Champ Jim "The BiZ", and Gary Shenfish for helping judge and move the kins.....Thanks for helping make it a great weigh off GuyZ.....

....Old Colorado City iz juzt a great weigh off all around !!!.....You need to go down and experience it for yourzelf !! At the baze of Pike's Peak, it'z simply beautiful !!!! ... Great growerz from the Southern part of the State!!........even if you don't have a pumpkin to weigh.....go down and experience it yourzelf next year....
